Caroline Forbes (Candice Accola) is one of the friends of Elena Gilbert and Bonnie Bennett. She is manipulative and selfish and is always jealous of Elena. When Stefan returned to Mystic Falls, Caroline tried to get with him and was angry when he picked Elena. Then when Caroline starts seeing Elena's ex-boyfriend Matt, she is constantly worried that he still has feelings for Elena or that he is closer to Elena than he is to her. In an attempt to strengthen her relationship with Matt, she sets up a double date with Elena and Stefan. When Elena and Matt start reminising about the past and making jokes about all the time they used to spend together, Caroline once again gets angry and tells Elena to stop and tells her that she is supposed to be showing Matt how much she loves Stefan. Caroline is so desperate to have Matt all to herself that she jeprodizes her friendship with Elena. Caroline is another character that is in the dark about the vampires in Mystic Falls. She has had encounters with them, but she doesn't realize it. Damon, in a way, pretended to date her, but really he was feeding on her and erasing her memory. Caroline still has no idea what really happened with that. She doesn't even really believe that Bonnie is a witch, but says she will support her anyway. Candice Accola has also starred on "The Truth About Angels", "Juno", "Dead Girl", "Supernatural", "Greek", "How I Met Your Mother", and has provided back up vocals for "Hannah Montana: The Movie".
