Tyler Lockwood (Michael Trevino) is Matt Donovan's best friend and is also on the football team. He is always with Matt, but throughout each episode it doesn't seem like he is that good of a friend. First of all, he is sleeping with his sister Vicki and lies to him about it. He even tried to force her to have sex with him in the woods, but Jeremy intervened. Jeremy also has feelings for Vicki and is always almost getting into fights with Tyler. Although Tyler says that he actually likes Vicki, he is ashamed of being in public with her and refuses to introduce her to his parents at the Founder's Day Party. Tyler gets angry very easily and it is evident that he doesn't understand why. His father, the mayor of Mystic Falls, is always disgusted with his violent behavior and says that he brings shame to the family, as he is always doing it in public. His father seems to be so caught up in his social life that he barely has time for his son. When the town finds out that Vicki is dead, Tyler is upset but he doesn't seem too upset. He ends up making out with Matt's mother. This is the last straw for Matt and Matt makes it pretty clear that he wants both of them out of his life. There are also clues throughout the episodes that Tyler is very unique, perhaps a werewolf, but it doesn't actually say that in the show. Michael has also starred on "Charmed", "Summerland", "Bones", "90210", "The Mentalist", "CSI: Miami", "The Riches", "Cane". He lives in both Los Angeles and Atlanta, Georgia. |  |
